Gimli thinks there is some good stonework but with help from the masons of Erebor it could all be great. Legolas thinks there are too few people and that they need more flowers to bring life and people back.
Hundreds of thousands, most likely. In the movie the Whie Wizard said the army was 10,000
Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgi, Peregrin Took, Merry Brandybuck, Legolas, Aragorn, Gimli, Gandalf, Theoden, Arwen, Sauron, Lord Denethor and Faramir.
Gimli is smaller than a man, but taller than a hobbit. I'd say about 4 ft. Gimli is about 4 feet 4 inches (132 cm) and Frodo is just under 4 feet (120 cm/1,20 m). Aragorn is 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm/1,98 m).
Between 2 and 4 feet tall . Thay say he is shorter than Gimli who is around 4'4. and he's under 4 so i would guess around 3.8/3.7 foot tall..
In the 2nd book, chapter 5, page 111-112, (when they are standing by Fangorn forest after chasing the orcs) "'It is old, very old,' said the Elf. 'So old that almost I feel young again, as I have not felt since I journeyed with you children. It is old and full of memory. I could have been happy here, if I had come in days of peace.'" and I don't know when in the movie.

This is really comparing apples and oranges, as dwarves and elves are so vastly different as to make comparing their strengths quite difficult. For one comparison, however, we may use Legolas' and Gimli's respective head counts from the Battle of Helm's Deep, in which Legolas killed 41 orcs, and Gimli 42. Thus we can fairly say that their skill in weaponry, and thus respective strength, is about equal. ---- I say Gimli is stronger because he's a fast Troll. Legolas isn't fast he's just an archer. ---- This question cannot be answered, like most "who is more x" questions about a sweeping topic without a way of measuring it. Corrections to comments above: Strength can not be measured in headcounts. Gimli is not a troll. Legolas is not 'only' an archer.
The Glossary includes a timeline of the War of the Rings and has the following entry for March 18, 3019: The Host of the West marches from Minas Tirith. Frodo comes in sight of the Isenmouthe; he is over-taken by Orcs on the road from Durthang to Udûn.
That's a hard question to answer as they all have certain strengths Aragorn is a great all round fighter Legolas is a excellent archer Gandalf can use magic Gimli has powerful attacks so i would have to say one of those 4 Sauron is the best

Mordor does not have any 'castles,' but there are a few towers of note. The tower of Minas Morgul, formerly Minas Ithil, was the HQ of the Nazgul, and was a place of dark sorcery and great dread. The tower of Cirith Ungol was the tower atop Torech Ungol, the lair of Shelob. Frodo was imprisoned in it. Most importantly, the tower of Barad Dûr was Sauron's chief stronghold, and was where the Eye of Sauron looked out from. Suffice it to say it was not a nice place.
Thorin and Gandalf had a discussion which eventually led to the expedition to Erebor. Thorin was to be the next king of Erebor and therefore was able to round up all the dwarves in the area to go on the adventure. He turned out to be a poor leader and it was a good thing Bilbo went along. Thorin was good at giving speeches and was a great warrior, even though he died because of his wounds in battle. Thorin's desire to retake Erebor set the events in motion that led to Smaug's demise.
