There are many reasons why people like fantasy movies. One main reason is that it expands creativity and lets people escape the real world and go into their own world. Just like books. The only difference between books and movies is that movies gives you visuals of the scene while books make you create your own scene with the same idea as the book's.

People watch fantasy movies because is almost the same as reading Fantasy Books.I think is better reading because you can imagine that you are the one,the principal character, and in the movies you see a face is more difficult to change it. So people watch fantasy movies because they want to live in another realm, they are not satisfied with their life and are looking for another, a life built by their imagination, an imaginary life with heroes and where their own good win.
