Tributes. They call them this because they are tributes from their district "sacrificing" themselves for the well being of their district.

No, he was not reaped. He stayed with Katniss' mother and Sister.
Assuming it represents our future (vs an alternate history Earth), we're talking at least the year 2100, since the Hunger Games are being held for the 75th time, and early on in the book, it suggests war/cataclysm and a period of rebuilding. It never says the true thing that destroyed the North American countries (The United States and Canada), but it was surely something unbearable.
well katniss did not know the boy from district 5's name so we don't know it
Tone is the authors voice (this could be the character telling the story) or opinion of the subject they are writing about. Example) Happy, Somber, etc.In my opinion, there are multiple tones for The Hunger Games. Katniss exhibits strength and courage but the games are dark and saddening. Some could argue that Katniss falls in love with Peeta and that love and hope could both be a tones but I disagree. I think the tone is much more serious, since the capitol is cruel and since there is little hope she will survive Katniss' desperate attempt to win the games is present.
They are called Tributes

No. The Hunger Games universe is what we would call the future, just like the universe in James Cameron's Avatar. Even the two technologies in the films were the same and well ahead of our time
In Malayalam the word for hunger is Vishappu
Panem used to be called North America. Panem is consisted of 13 Districts.

Annoying? Do you mean by the people who talk about The Hunger Games or the book itself? And I think you should read all three books before asking this question, and if you did, I don't think you understood the book properly that you'd call it annoying. How is it annoying, I'd like you to answer that question first than asking a dumb like this.Good day.
They call them Career Tributes in the book. Katniss usually just refers to them and "the careers."
