Percy Jackson lives in Manhattan, New York with his mom and his smelly step dad Gabe (who is later turned into a statue by Medusa's severed head). He has has black hair and deep sea green eyes. At 12 years old he finds out that he is half Greek god and half human. His father is one of the most powerful Greek gods, Poseidon god of the sea. He has power over water and can communicate with horses.

Percy finds he is not alone, he soon figures out that his best friend Grover is a half goat! Grover he takes Percy to Camp Half-Blood where other kids are also children of the gods. There he learns to fight and trains as a demigod. His love interest and later girlfriend is Annabeth Chase, a daughter of Athena who is quite smart and handy. At Camp Half-Blood Percy learns that old monsters in the Greek myths are real too and he is destined to change the evil Titan lord Kronos but before that he goes on many quests to save the things that he loves.

Percy Jackson is the main character and narrator of the Percy Jackson and Olympians series by Rick Riordan.

He is also a major character in its companon/sequel series, The Heroes of Olympus. Percy is not a major character and is not one of the three (Jason, Piper, and Leo) narrators of the first book, The Lost Hero. But he is one of the three narrators (Percy, Frank, and Hazel) and a major character in the second book of the series, The Son of Neptune.

That movie totally destroys the actual background knowledge on the Greek mythology.They made Hades seem like the bad guy. Hades is not a bad guy, he just enforces the rules.
