Experience points evolve Dragonair into Dragonite. When a certain amount of experience is earned, Pokemon gain a level up. For Dragonair to evolve, it must be on level 55 or higher. Unless it is holding an Everstone, every level it gains from 55 will give i the opportunity to evolve.
