A park hopper is a ticket purchase option at Disney parks. The PARK HOPPER pass is designed for flexability by giving you the opportunity to visit more than one park in the same day. You choose the number of days you want to visit and the ticket will give you unlimited admissions at any time to either Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. However, if you choose to go to another park on that day, you will be able to use your HOPPER ticket. If you decide to go to multiple parks in the same day, it is suggested you use the Disney® Transportation system to get back and forth.
A standard ticket will not allow you to 'hop' between parks without losing days on the pass. Each park entry bwill be charged one day on the ticket.

Hopper tickets/passes is a package deal that Disney offers which allows you to purchase one ticket for all the Disney parks. The good thing about a hopper pass is if you want to "hop" from one park to the next in a day, you are able to. It basically enables you to visit any Disney park as many times as you'd like. A regular priced hopper pass can usually be used a total of five times. The Park Hopper is great between Magic Kingdom and Epcot because they have a Monorail System.
It depends on what kind you choose.
Not if you go back to the same park. They will stamp your hand and then show your ticket.
