A bow and a quiver full of arrows.
Glimmer, the girl from District 1
Katniss runs to the Cornucopia because she sees a weapon (specifically: a bow and a quiver of arrows) that she needs and knows was placed in the arena just for her. She also realized that Haymitch did not get a chance to see all of her skills. Haymitch didn't get to see her run, and she was firm in the belief that she could run quickly. She also realized that she would have little chance of coming back, and that she would need supplies in order to survive.
She finds them in the orange backpack she picked up at the Cornucopia.
Rue told her how to use the nightvision glasses. Katniss thought they were sunglasses, but they messed up her vision. Rue said they had them in District 11 so they could see in the late work hours, and showed Katniss how to work them.
The cornucopia you see most often which is a horn shaped basket filled with produce would be an example of a heterogeneous mixture of items. Cornucopia actually refers to an abundance of anything so if you had an abundance of water for example that would be a homogeneous cornucopia.
When Peeta and Katniss are on the train, Peeta tell Katniss that before he left, his mother came to see him. These were Peetas words:"My mom said 'shes a fighter, that one.' she is! She meant you!"
Katniss was very surprised, angry even. She didn't understand what he meant, she thought it was just to get more sponsors. Katniss pushes Peeta afterwards for announcing a lie, because she thought she looked like a weakling. Afterwards Haymitch says that it's a good thing because she will get sponsers, too. It would put on a good show, and that's exactly what Panem wants. At the end of the book, Katniss finds out that Peeta meant what he said, and it was the truth.
He meant that he feels like you could see into his soul and observe his innermost thoughts and feelings. He probably really likes you.
Katniss sees Foxface stealing supplies from the Careers.
The horns on a unicorn are spiraled, like a cornucopia. A cornucopia is that thing you see on traditional Thanksgiving centerpieces. Plus, it just rolls off the tongue better : ) ~Cassie
