∙ 12y agoKatniss at first thinks that Peeta was pretending to be friendly on the train so that her guard would be left down in the arena. Then she thought in the arena that Peeta was going to stay with the Careers, and then kill her eventually. But both of these theories were wrong.

The Careers use Peeta to figure out what Katniss' skill was that got her the eleven from the Gamekeepers. The Careers also think that Peeta might know Katniss' whereabouts.
