In "The Hunger Games," Katniss Everdeen devises a plan to use the tracker jackers' nest to her advantage. She cuts down the branch holding the nest, causing the aggressive wasp-like creatures to swarm and attack her enemies. This creates chaos in the arena, allowing her to escape and gain a strategic advantage over her competitors. The tracker jackers ultimately serve as a turning point in her fight for survival.
Tracker jackers are genetically altered wasps. Disturbing the nest causes them to chase or "track" the offender, hence the name "tracker." "Jacker" is most likely derived from the kind of wasp known as a yellow jacket
They added Tracker Jackers into the arena. ( I think XD)
In "The Hunger Games," Katniss injures herself when she climbs a tree to escape the muttations and falls after being attacked by a tracker jackers' nest. She receives painful stings from the tracker jackers on her arms and face. Additionally, during her time in the arena, she sustains a leg injury after a confrontation with Cato, which makes it difficult for her to move. These injuries highlight her struggles and resilience throughout the Games.
Tracker jackers are dangerous due to their venom, which can cause extreme pain, hallucinations, and even death. These genetically engineered wasps are highly aggressive and will attack anyone who disturbs their nest. In "The Hunger Games," their presence poses a significant threat to the tributes, as they can create chaos and lead to fatal encounters. Additionally, their ability to inflict psychological trauma makes them a formidable weapon in the arena.
In the Hunger Games, the character Glimmer is killed by tracker jackers. Tracker jackers are genetically engineered wasps that are used as weapons in the Games. Glimmer is stung multiple times by the tracker jackers and dies as a result of the venom injected by the wasps.

The answer could be different but Katniss might have gotten killed if she would have startled the Tracker Jackers. or if she wouldn't get killed by the Tracker Jackers the tributes would probebly end up getting her becouse of her wounds or lack of water or food
A shining light, and that Peeta saved her life.
Tracker Jackers kill Glimmer, but Katniss cuts the branch to release the Tracker Jackers on Glimmer.
Tracker jackers are genetically altered wasps. The meaning of tracker is that they track anyone down who either provokes them or disrupts their nest. Jacker is obviously derived from the name yellow jacket, which is a type of wasp
Tracker jackers.Tracker jackers were used during the first rebellion of Panem as weapons against the Districts. When the Dark Days were over, the Capitol destroyed tracker jacker nests in their area, but left tracker jacker nests in other Districts, such as District 11, to show their power.Tracker jackers are simply gentically altered wasps, only differentiated by their golden color and larger size.

Tracker Jackers.
Katniss wasn't really that scared by the nest, but she was quite concerned. The 'wasp-nest' is actually a tracker-jacker nest. Tracker jackers are a genetically engineered spin off of wasps. Their stings can be extremely lethal and can cause hallucinations. If injected with too much of the venom, it can cause death (which was the case with Glimmer and the District 4 girl).
It never says. Also, it is Tracker Jackers, NOT Tracker Hackers. ;)
Tracker Jackers
She has her injuries from the Tracker Jackers.
