light is reflected from every object we see,the light is reflected into our eyes too and the light beam is broken through the glass part in our eye.the actual image is beaing projected upside down on our retina and from there it is being sent to the brain by our nerve system.the brain interprets the image downside down and upside up.
the pupil will be covered by the iris more or less, depending on how much light is being reflected into the eye.if there is more light, the pupil is being less revealed,so we wont become flashed and vice versa.
i hope that i could help you.
i'm sorry for any possible mistakes in my english,im not speaking it natively.
