He also starts working at Hogwarts and looks after Winky. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix he tells Harry about the Room of Requirement and tells him when Umbridge is coming. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Harry asks him, along with Kreacher, to spy on Draco Malfoy. Dobby fought Kreacher when he insulted Harry. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows he saves Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Ollivander and Griphook from Malfoy Manor and died after being stabbed in the heart by Bellatrix Lestrange's knife.

In the Scholastic version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger kiss on page 625 in Chapter 31: The Battle of Hogwarts. They returned from the Chamber of Secrets with the basilisk fangs and Ron thought of the house-elves. Hermione dropped her basilisk fangs and kissed him on the mouth. Harry was awkward and told them that, "There's a war goind on here!"

Running at Ron she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. House elves are extremely servile in the Harry Potter stories. Wormtail, aka Peter Pettigrew, is also pretty servile.
