It depends on which series you end on and also if you count him in Earth or Namekian years. he is 3 at the last martial arts tournament of Dragon Ball. The end of DBZ he was 31, and the end of dbgt (funimation dub) he is 43. namekian years are 130 earth days, so use that to figure his namekian age.
Why do the dragon balls stop working when Piccolo or Lord Guru dies?
They don't. If Piccolo and kami die, the dragon balls on earth die. But the ones on Namek still work unless Guru dies.
