Cleopatra was the longest film Elizabeth Taylor made. In its original release (it was cut soon after) and the present DVD form, Cleopatra runs 248 minutes. The theatrical cut ran 192 minutes. The unreleased directors cut ran 320 minutes. With the Blu Ray release coming in 2013, one can only hope that it is closer to the director's cut, finally bringing director Joseph L. Mankiewicz's vision of two complete and separate movies Caesar and Cleopatra, and Antony and Cleopatra to light.
