But he actually received five special tributes from the Academy during his lifetime, including an honorary Oscar in 1953 and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 1960.

Paul hosted the 1981 Grammy Awards and his album " A Concert In The Park " was nominated for best new pop. The song " Late in The Evening " was performed by him. I may be wrong, but that's how I remember it,I think he won an award for it but I am unsure, I do know he was definitely nominated and this is the song he performed.
