At the end of "Blood of Olympus," the final book in the Heroes of Olympus series, the demigods successfully defeat the giant Gaea, preventing her from awakening and destroying the world. Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and their friends return to Camp Half-Blood, where they celebrate their victory. The story concludes with a sense of hope and new beginnings, as Percy and Annabeth decide to explore their future together. The epilogue hints at the next generation of demigods, setting the stage for future adventures.

Well, it would definitely make more sense if you did. The main characters of Percy Jackson do appear in the Heroes of Olympus and the story plot has information from Percy Jackson. So if I were you, I would definitely read Percy Jackson first :) (that's what I did and everything made more sense)!
The Percy Jackson Camp Half-Blood series ended with the fifth book, The Last Olympian. The next series came out, The Heroes of Olympus. Percy plays an important part in the series, although he is no longer the main character.
The home of the gods in Percy Jackson is Mount Olympus. It is located on the 600th floor of the Empire State Building, which is not know to mortals because of the Mist. In actual Greek mythology (as opposed to the modernized version in the Percy Jackson series), Mount Olympus is still known as the home of the gods.
The first book is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Lightning Thief The second is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Sea of Monsters The third is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Titans Curse The fourth is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Battle of the Labyrinth The fifth is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Last Olympian You can also get The Demigod Files and other supplement books.
After Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and the Heroes of Olympus there is The Kane Chronicles.
The series that comes after Percy Jackson and the Olympians is called "The Heroes of Olympus."
The chronological order of the Percy Jackson series, including the Trials of Apollo after Heroes of Olympus, is as follows: Percy Jackson the Olympians series The Heroes of Olympus series The Trials of Apollo series
The series that follows "Heroes of Olympus" in the Percy Jackson universe is called "The Trials of Apollo."
The series that comes after "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" is called "The Heroes of Olympus."
Yes some Percy Jackson characters will be in there and be older but they will not be the main characters

So far, no
No. Percy Jackson will not be in the first book (The Lost Hero) but he will be in the second book and through the rest of the series. I've read the book and Percy Jackson is not in The Lost Hero. However, Percy Jackson will be in The Heroes of Olympus series. In book two (Heroes of Olympus, The Son of Neptune) Percy Jackson will be on of the main characters as he was in the last series.
That is happening in the Heroes of Olympus, the next Camp Half-Blood series by Rick Riordan.
Technically, yes they have finished making the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. But the Heroes of Olympus series is out and includes Percy Jackson as well as a bunch of new characters. Percy Jackson lives on!
