OMFG RORSHACH DIED!!!! NOO!!! Well Rorshach and Nite Owl II find out it was Ozymandias who was helping the Russians so they go to his fortress to confront him. Then there's a kick-ass fight scene and Ozymandias released a bomb that destroyed New York [and several other big cities].
anyway, the bomb used the same energy as DR Manhattan so people thought it was him. Russia was no longer threatened by the Americans as they were convinced Manhattan was now against them also. So they called off the bomb. Rorshach wasn't going to keep the little secret and [he was] go[ing] tell everyone it was actually Ozymandias..So Manhattan blew him up :S WEAH i balled!!

Why is watchmen on DC's main label everything else that I've seen written by Alan Moore is on the Vertigo DC label so why is watchmen special?
the watchmen are special because they are not guys in tights trying to fight evil they are real people with real lives and they have problems like we do. Also, the Vertigo label was not around when Watchmen was written. Watchmen was written in 1986 and Vertigo was not started until 1993.
