After knocking out Ho-Oh in either Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire you can return to the Pokémon League, defeat all four members of the Elite 4 and also defeat Steven the League Champion and after defeating Steven any fainted Pokémon that is a Legendary that has been knocked out and not captured by you will re-spawn so all you will need to do after beating Steven is return back to the same ring portal that you found on the Sea Mauville ship.
