On Day 5, Katniss saw Rue pointing to the Tracker Jackers and a sawing motion, so Katniss cut down the nest which caused the Careers to flee. Both Glimmer and the District 4 female recieved numerous stings. Unlike Glimmer who swiped at the tracker jackers frantically, the District 4 female dropped her stuff and ran out of sight, leaving Glimmer to be stung to death by the tracker jackers before she could escape. Several minutes after Glimmer's death, she collapsed from the many tracker jacker stings she had recieved, and died. She was picked up by the hovercraft before Glimmer, due to Katniss being in close proximity of Glimmer's body; stealing her bow and arrows. Katniss later took credit for their deaths.

In the movie, it is presumed, although not known, that Cato kills the girl from District 4. First, she is seen pushing down the District 3 female and finding an axe. She was most likely highly skilled in wielding a weapon, as she is seen confronting Cato as the District 5 male and District 3 female are fighting, on the picture below. The two swung their weapons at each other numerous times, dodging the other's attack, before Cato shoves her into a supply box. It is assumed that she dropped her axe as she fell. She fled and is seen grabbing a red backpack off the floor. After Katniss sees her run and grab the backpack, she somehow regains another axe, possibly stealing the one the District 7 female gained. She then uses the weapon to slice the District 6 male's left leg while he is chasing Katniss. It is unknown exactly how or when she dies, but it is most likely at the end of the bloodbath, as her picture is the last to be appear on the screen during the interview between Claudius Templesmith and Caesar Flickerman, announcing the tributes killed in the Cornucopia. Her death is off screen. She possibly placed somewhere between 16th-13th in the movie, as although it is believed the District 4 male is the last to die, after his death as Katniss is running through the forest, several screams and battle noises are heard; possibly announcing the District 4 female's death.
