The cast of A Gift from the Gideons - 2012 includes: Chad Chesmark as Luke Milka Chesmark as Tamara
It was probably because the Canadians changed their bylaws to admit non-professionals or non-businessmen into membership. I, as a Gideon member, received an email from the International saying they were accepting the Canadian's withdrawal, but failed to be explicit as to why. Last Sept. the Canadians narrowly failed to change the rules, but must have done so recently. Can not find anything on Google to confirm this. If anyone knows otherwise please correct me. Rendall Gray March 31 newsletter from Canada Gideons indicates the government of Canada requires compliance with financial reporting on funds leaving the country such that Gideons International was not able or willing to comply with. Gideons International was created in 1899.
The Bibles are given out by the Gideons.
The Gideons believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God.
Ephod
The Ephod was one of the garments worn by the Kohen Gadol (High Priest) in the Tabernacle and the Temple (Exodus ch.28). See the attached Related Link (in it, the Ephod is the multicolored garment worn from the waist on down, without the blue garment).
gideons chosen army
Because, like Gideon, two ordinary men set out to accomplish a mighty work commissioned by God.
There is an international organization that puts copies of the Bible in each hotel room, all over the world. The organization is called "The Gideons". It is the regular Holy Bible, but the cover will say, usually, "placed by The Gideons".

The Gideons are not actually a denomination of Christianity, but a Christian organization officially called "Gideons International" whose mission is to spread the word of God by handing out Bibles to people who might never otherwise encounter it. So the Gideons don't have specific beliefs (like whether Jesus is completely God or if he was something else) and can come from a variety of denominations. However, most Christians do believe that Jesus is God, so most Gideons are probably going to believe that, too. I hope that answered your question.
To renew membership for 2014, the cost is $60 per year for Gideons; $30 per year for Auxiliary members.
