value, price, worth, meaning, courage....
literal meaning ...'to like, take courage'
No. Courage is something that you have. It is a noun. It means to be brave. Encouragement is also a noun, but it is something someone gives you, not something you already have. Encouragement is like little helpful, uplifting comments such as: "well done", "You're doing great", and "Keep it up!" Isn't the English language a bit strange?-adding 'en' before courage can totally change the meaning! Hope this helped :)
To be brave enough to do something challenging

"Courage" comes from a word meaning "heart". So "courage"="strong of heart."
The Latin translation of the English phrase 'And thus courage, daughter' is the following: Et sic filia fortitudinis. The word-by-word translation is as follows: 'et' means 'and'; 'sic' means 'thus'; 'courage' means 'fortitudo'; and 'filia' means 'daughter'. The Latin equivalent is the same whether the English meaning is 'And thus courage, daughter', in the sense of being courageous; or 'And thus [is] courage, daughter', in the sense of explaining what courage in general is all about.
