A guild is a club / role play area on neopets. Only users who have sent in the parental permission form via fax, or are 13 and over can actually chat on a guild. Guilds can sometimes be private, so you need an invite to get into the private ones. In order to decorate a guild you need, either a premade layout, or you need to make your own custom layout using CSS and HTML. Either way, you may need a longer explanation. Your guild ID will be different, so don't worry, this isn't the guild your in. But this guild isn't private so anyone can view it. To join a guild simply locate the: 'Join Guild' button.
If you're already in a guild then you must click 'Leave Guild'. Don't worry, if you think your decision was wrong the guild may still be alive thanks to other members and you can always rejoin it later!
