El'Jay "Y.E.D.D.I" Johnson was born and raised in Washington D.C. After displaying musical talents at a young age when he began playing the drums and singing in the church choir, it was evident that Y.E.D.DI had a gift. At the age of 13, Y.E.D.D.I began learning how to produce under the influence of E. Augustus Jones. He was a fast learner and was not afraid to ask questions. Is persistence and dedication allowed him to obtain the gift of slightly playing by ear. At the age of fifteen, he produced beats for his solo album "All in God's Mix". At the age of 18, Y.E.D.D.I attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he was the youngest member of Blue Bear Television. While spending time in North Carolina, Y.E.D.D.I was given the opportunity to work with Super-Producer, Sterling Vaughn. After hearing the growth of his production over the years, Y.E.D.D.I knew that it was time for the world to know his name. Currently, Y.E.D.D.I is perfecting his craft under the assistance of Nisha Management. He is also working on other project which will drop this year. By the way, his name is not a name, it is a statement…a statement that will reverberate in the music business for many years to come: "Yo.El'Jay.Demolished.Dat.Instrumental".
