If you are talking about in the book, there really is no expectation for The Hunger Games. At the Reaping, it's really anybody's chance and they can't expect you to be ready for anything. I think they (the Capitol) at least expect you to be willing to fight and try to kill other tributes. If your talking about the book, expect a wild, action based story with romance mixed in between.
