A lively lead is a hand held device used for cutting brush. It has a long handle with two pieces of wood extending from each side with a blade attached to the bottom of the wood extensions. The blade is approximately 18 inches long and 2 inches wide and has serrated edges. You hold thedevice in both hands (much like holding a Golf club) and sling the lively lead from side to side to cut weeds and small bushes. We had one about 50 years ago and used it to clear the roadside where we lived.
