What is sailor moon?

It's about a Japanese teenager named Usagi Tsukino who, after finding a black cat with a crescent moon on its forehead, learns that she is the soldier of love and justice, Sailor Moon. She finds the rest of her team, Sailor Senshi (warrior, warriors) Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus, and must defeat many different evils that come her way. During the whole thing, she tries to win the heart of her past life love, Tuxedo Kamen (Mamoru Chiba), who only slightly remembers her and teases her constantly. Overall, it's an awesome anime to watch (or manga to read, if you'd rather) and I highly suggest it. :D

Sailor Moon Crystal is the new series of Sailor moon that has no ties to the orignal anime, but instead follows the storyline of the mange more closely. I enjoy it because it's new material and recommend it for any sailor moon fan.
