If you pick Squirtle, after you Beat the Elite 4, a Raikou will be in the Wild.
If you pick Charmander, after you Beat the Elite 4, a Suicune will be in the Wild.
If you pick Bulbasaur, after you Beat the Elite 4, a Entei willl be in the Wild.
It's your choice. But, it's still pretty hard to choose because, they all have good over all stats.

I always preferred charmender but its a difficult choise because squirtle is also good and it can become blastoise at lv. 36, But i would choose charmender.
