i suggest that you do not start with a treeko. it is the worst starter and makes the game very tough to beat. i think you should get a torchic then i would recommend getting a lotad in the beginning of the game. the next Pokemon you should get is an electrike which is between slateport and mauville. next i recommend you getting a skarmory. you then should pick up a duskell at mt pyre. finally, you should get a snorunt on a low tide in the cave behind mossdeep city.
when you challenge the elite four your Pokemon should be level 50 and know these moves
Blaziken lv 50- blaze kick, double kick, bulk up, earthquake
Ludicolo lv 50- surf, rain dance, giga drain, any move you want here
Manectric lv 50- thunderbolt, thunder, bite, thunder wave
Skarmory lv 50- spikes, fly, steel wing, agility
Dusclops lv 50- fire punch, thunder punch, ice punch, shadow ball
Glalie lv 50- ice beam, blizzard, crunch, headbutt
