There is no 'Good' fire Pokemon that you can use. It's more a prefrence. Like for me it's blaziken from Pokemon ruby. What you will want to think about is the things it is weak against, the best fire Pokemon will only be weak against water.

Vulpix might be a good one, as could Growlithe.

rakuram i think and pansear i think that's fire not completely sure there is three types and victini set up wifi and get liberty pass go to castellia and go to end of city talk to cops and set off for liberty island but I'm at elitefour but don't cach fire types much OH and Reshiram of course but i don't use fire types much i used to be a hothead trainer but now I'm a grass type user i am very calm

In HeartGold, you can catch a Growlithe or in SoulSilver you can catch a Vulpix in the grass before entering Ecruteak City.

Or, in both games, you can pick the fire starter, Cyndaquil.

I definitely suggest getting a magmar at the bottom floor of the burnt tower in ecruteak but is it just me or are there barely any wild fire types
