if you want the best charizard in your fire red or leaf green you should do this scorching combination:

DRAGON CLAW-it is useful when battling the elite four lance in kanto and drake in hoenn and Claire in johto,it is the best basic dragon attack for charizard.

FLAMETHROWER-good move if you want to conserve your better moves like blast burn...it is useful also when battling lorelei...

FIRE BLAST-if you think that a flamethrower could`NT take down an opponent

BLAST BURN-this awesome super powerful move of charizard is known as the fire`s destructive force,why do you think so? because this move is only used when your in trouble...it can take down an opponent if you used it wisely...however you have to recharge...so use it wisely

The best moves for Charizard is Blast Burn (150 power (the old woman at cape brind teaches this to your Pokemon)), Flamethrower (95), Fire Blast (120), and Heatwave (100). Another move is Overheat (150), but it lowers your sp. atk after use, so a good thing is to use this vs the last foe, or the last Pokemon you battle with your charizard before switching it out.

I think the best moveset for charizard is flamethrower (learned at lvl 46-50) Fly, Slash (lvl unknown 2 me) and dragon rage (lvl unknown 2 me)

^^bad moveset. You shouldn't give charizard any physical attacks since its a special attacker. A good moveset would be sunny day(weakens water attacks and increases power of fire attacks), solar beam, fire blast and air slash.

U can sub fireblast with flamethower if you want to.

Moves for Dragonite:

Fly: Strong flying type move

Dragon dance: boosts up attack and speed (helps at lot against Lance)

Thunder punch/earthquake/Ice Beam: for other Pokemon (flying or electric or grass)earthquake is best because it can take care of those pesky electric types that are super effective

Dragon Claw: accurate and strong dragon type move

Dragonite isn't that good with special attacks

Here is my suggestion:

Dragon Dance(increases attack and speed)

Outrage(stronger than Dragon Claw but the confusion is a pain) or Dragon Claw

Fire Punch(For ice types and steel types that is uneffected by ground attacks)

Earthquake(Deals with steel types)
