You can't. you'll either have to trade one, or beat Pokemon league in your pearl version, then go south of sandgem town to the end of the route. the route's number escapes me; anyways go inside the building at the end, insert a ruby, sapphire, firered, leafgreen, or emerald version that has a ho-oh on it, put it in the gameboy slot in a Nintendo DS, then just go inside and you can catch the Pokemon that is in your party on the GBA game (you will have to save and turn off then back on and it will ask to download GBA game Pokemon to your Pearl version when it starts up) download the Pokemon then go to clerk lady/guy and ask to start game and then you catch those Pokemon in a small area, kind of like the safari zone in GBA Pokemon games.

∙ 10y agoto get Ho-oh you must have gotten past digglet cave. After go to pewter town there will be a man on a hillor ibn other words up stairs. talk to him and he will give you the rainbow wing.then yougo to ecruteak city and go in the big place and you will be abl to pass. He will be on the roof.
Well, first you have to get a rainbow wing and you go to the Bell Tower, I think

∙ 13y agoThe best way is to get it down to Red HP first. Then, use a Pokemon that will paralyze it, or put any kind of effect on it without harming it. Then, use an ultra ball, or you can skip trying to not hurt it by using your master ball.

∙ 12y agomake sure one of your Pokemon knows false swipe, thunder wave, or hypnosis. if your Pokemon doesn't know flase swipe go to the celadon department store and buy a TM for it. i recommend that you have a Pokemon that knows hypnosis instead of thunder wave. keep using false swipe on ho-oh and when he has at least 1 hp, switch out your Pokemon that knows hypnosis or thunder wave. use hypnosis or thunder wave. after that use a certain kind of pokeballs to your advantage. if your battling ho-oh at night use a dusk ball, if your battling ho-oh during the day or morning use a ultra ball. to increase your chances of catching it, press and hold these buttons: A, B, and the down arrow key. well, good luck.
Paralyze it or put it to sleep. Then I used Raticate's Super Fang to cut it's HP in half until it was very very low. Then just start throwing Pokeballs. Save before you battle it just in case you knock it out or run out of balls. Holding A, B and Down will not help, that's myth.
