∙ 12y agoKatniss EVerdeen's (age16) sister Primrose Everdeen (age 12) was chosen to take part in The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a tournament where 24 contestents (two from each district) are entered into an arena where they all must fight to the death until only one remains. The winner is awarded food, money, and a home (keep in mind most to all the districts of Panem, the ruins of what used to be North America, are poverty-stricken). Katniss volunteers to take Prim's place where she and Peeta Mellark must fight. They eventually fall in love in the arena and then they cheat and win together.
