The .50 Caliber (BMG) and the .416 Barrett are both large-caliber cartridges, but they differ in design and purpose. The .50 BMG is primarily used in heavy machine guns and sniper rifles, offering a high muzzle velocity and effective range for anti-material purposes. In contrast, the .416 Barrett was specifically developed for long-range shooting and offers improved accuracy and terminal ballistics at extended distances, making it a preferred choice for precision sniping. Additionally, the .416 Barrett generally has less recoil than the .50 BMG, which can enhance shooter control and performance.
The .416 Barrett cartridge typically uses large rifle primers. Specifically, it is designed to work with standard large rifle primers, which are essential for igniting the powder charge in this high-caliber round. Reloaders may choose from various manufacturers, such as CCI, Federal, or Winchester, depending on their preferences for performance and consistency.

180 dB is a result from the barrett M107A1 50 cal long rifle.
First try a carrot. Or use a tranquilizer dart. Or a Barrett .50cal with DU rounds.
it came from Sir Alan Pi in 1898. he died 1 day after discovering it through being sniped by a Barrett .50cal
no you cannot. the only snipers available in modern warfare 2 are the Intervention, Barrett .50cal, WA2000 and the M21 EBR.
you shoot through walls. also, shooting people through windows works as bullet penetration
NO they use m24s and some old m21s. Also semiauto m16(ar15)s and handguns. SWAT uses mp5&7s and some submachineguns and m24s but i dont think they use ANYTHING CLOSE to a 50cal... that would be way too powerful. An Iraqi insurgent got shot with a barrett 50cal and his head split into three pieces. I dont think the police agencies are going to consider that as even an option. Hope it helped :) <><><> Have to disagree- some SWAT personnel use the .50 cal. Mr. Barrett, the CEO of the Barrett rifle company, has refused to sell or service any of his rifles by any govt. agency in the state of California, due to California banning the .50 Barrett.
The M82 was made in 2 calibers. The original used the .50 BMG cartridge, which fires a bullet that is .510 inches in diameter. The weight of the bullet varies depending on WHICH bullet is used, but is in the area of 700 grains weight. The later version of the M82 was made in caliber .416 Barrett. This is, as the name suggests, a .416 inch bullet that weighs 400 grains.
Yes it is there are currently records of all most two mile kill shots with the barrett .50cal and .338lupua and mile long shots with 7mm mag .223 and multiple other calibers that can make that long of a shot
