Ibo speed is 290 fps
IBO speed is only determined with a 350 gr arrow, 30" long, at 70 lb draw weight, with nothing on the bow string except an arrow release loop. Even with these criteria exact, you still have to shoot through a chronograph to find your bow's exact speed. 340 fps
IBO speed of all bows is determined using the same setup. All bows are bare, pulling 70 lbs. shooting a 350 grain arrow at a 30" draw. Its more of a market ploy than anything else. A real hunting bow after all the accessories are added can be 20 or 30 fps slower or more than advertised. It really depends on overall arrow weight, draw weight/length, and the amount of vibration dampening accessories on the bow. Worry more about which bow feels the best when shot rather than how fast it can go. The only difference in a slower bow and a faster bow is that when you miss, the faster arrow goes farther away.
I have put a great deal of time looking at the new bows and reading their reviews online. I have also shot a few of what I presume to be the best bows on the market. The PSE X-force which was unbelievably fast (348fps IBO) if speed is what you need this is a great bow for you. If you are not as much concerned with speed as you are with having a smooth, quiet, forgiving bow with absolutely ZERO vibration or bow-recoil and is no slouch with an IBO speed of 315fps, then check out the new Bowtech General. Another very popular bow on the market has to be the Mathews DXT. It is slim, light, and fairly quick. However I shot one and the bow seemed to torch in my hand a lot from side to side and overall just did not feel well balanced. All in all it is not only the most moderately priced but it is also probably the smoothest shooting most well rounded hunting bow on the market. I'm gonna pick up a BowTech General The bottom line is, one could easily spend well over $1000 for just the bow, that does not include a sight, rest, release, arrows, and all the other stuff you'll need to outfit your bow. A bow may perform differently from one shooter to another. The best bow is one that the shooter can continuously place an arrow accurately into the effective target area.
Wim Ibo's birth name is Johan Willem Ibo.
When you notice a major drop in the IBO speed, when the string has been changed more than 6 times, when it becomes very difficult to be accurate, or when the limbs start showing stress markings. When it become more cost effective to replace it rather than repair it.
Precolonial Ibo society is described as acephalous because the Ibo did not have one state or one ruler for all the Ibo. Instead, each Ibo village was autonomous.
