They are very stressful conditions to work under, there are many reasons for this. One is that you must always be on time, no matter what. Just imagine you are getting married at you always want to have pictures to remember this day by and the photographer doesn't show up, you are going to be angry. They photographer must deal with this and know they must be there no matter what, rain or shine, sick or well, they have to show up for work. Another thing is that many people may be a little uptight on their wedding day anyway because they want everything to go perfect and according to plan. This may be cause for them to say rude things to the photographer and treat them badly because they think that the pictures will not be good enough. They also have to deal with the fact that if their pictures AREN'T good enough, and the people don't buy them, then they just wasted all that time and more importantly film. If you are using digital you have to replace the camera every few years anyway, so that is costing you money regardless if you are making any or not. Yes you can make money from weddings, but you are taking a risk trying to do this. If you want to get into the business of photography, you are better off going for a job as being a fashion photographer and being paparazzi. Both of these jobs have a income, and are at a MUCH lower risk than being a wedding photographer.
