My Auntie, Annie Tranmer, together with her husband Lesley Tranmer, bought what is now called Tranmer House and the land. This was back in the 1970's i believe. When my auntie died she left the property and land to a cancer charity who then sold it to the National Trust. The house was then re-named Tranmer House. The Annie Tranmer Charitable Trust at this point was born and still lives on today.
I have many childhood memories of visiting the house and burial grounds.
