A national pokedex is the pokedex you get after you complete the first pokedex. The national one shows you all of the Pokemon in the whole Pokemon world, but you have to see them first. And the best place to do that is battle area. Hope this helps! :)

in sinnoh, see 150 Pokemon, kanto, [fr and lg] CATCH at least 60 different Pokemon
and show them to prof. oak. hoenn, become champion. unova beat ghetsis.
so..... its your pokedex, only upgraded to allow pokedex entries for Pokemon in other regoins!
which brings us to the question: what is the point of pokedex entries for another reigon?
Lol, simple to become the very best like no one ever was. And to feel good about catching 256/386/493/649 Pokemon. [that's a lot, good luck.] O.o
