"You Can't Handle the Truth..." from A Few Good Men. Directors will puke blood if they hear these monologues again.

If the person/people who are auditioning you say they will be choosing people whose voices they believe will fit a certain role, it may be better to find a song that shows off your vocal strengths, or even one that you believe will prove that your voice is perfect for a certain role. I feel this may be a better choice because even though you may want a certain part, someone else might think you would be better suited for a different role and you have a better chance of getting a part. If you sing a song from the musical you're auditioning for and your voice isn't the best for that part, then they may not notice how your voice could suit any other part. That doesn't mean that it would be a bad thing to do. If the song you're thinking about doing does show off your vocal strength then I would say go for it!
