Tetras, Mickey Mouse platies and corydoras are all very peaceful, tolerant fish that will put up with just about anything added to their aquarium. The main thing to consider in this setup is that whatever else is added does not harass small tetras or the shrimp. That restricts you to relatively small fish. Zebra danios are a very active, midwater shoaling fish that can live in a ten gallon tank (although not with so many other occupants) but will be very comfortable with something larger. They should be kept in groups of four or more as if you just have one or two they tend to pine away and die. There are a lot of selectively bred varieties including albino, golden and metallic silver. The closely related leopard danio is almost identical and will shoal with the zebra. Longfin forms of all of the zebra strains and the leopard are available. A mixed shoal with one or two of each strain looks very effective. Another suitable fish are harlequin rasboras. They are also small, inoffensive fish that school and will tend to remain in the middle of your tank. Again they should be kept in groups and do not like to be alone. They are a very attractive reddish colour with black markings. Most tetra species get on well with other tetras, so a small school of a different tetra would be a nice addition. Because there is such a variety of tetra species, do your research before you buy. Some tetras (such as the Congo) grow quite large and require at least a 50 gallon aquarium. You could also consider guppies, but do not buy males with very long fins if there are tetras in the tank. Many tetra species tend to harass fish with very long fins and nip the fins. Females or shorter finned males (try Endler's Livebearer) are peaceful community fish. You should keep either all males, all females, or two or three females (or more) for every male as if there are an equal number of males and females (or less females than males) the males may fight over the females and harass the females to mate. Guppies can be delicate, but this is largely due to inbreeding to create the enormous fins seen on some males. If you choose shorter finned males, they tend to be hardier.
