George Lucas wrote more than just 3 films but his first three were: THX 1138, American Graffiti, and Star Wars, A New Hope. He went on to write five more Star Wars movies, and The Indiana Jones Series, among many other short films and spin-offs.

George Lucas. George Lucas did not create, write or come up with the Star Wars series by himself. He was merely a director to the movie. Oliver Simon wrote the original series books. George Lucas then bought the rights to the storyline and characters, re-wrote the series, and made them into a movie.
