It depends on which you're talking about. I think the new one (with Jude somebody) is rated PG-13 but a lot of the old ones say not rated violence. In other words, it's so old it's is not bad, but there is a little violence, like the mention of someone getting a finger cut off, of someone getting cut, of a scary theme like in one Basil Rathbone film Holmes almost dies by getting his life blood drained out of him.
