There is a song by this name. It"s a country and Western item on the morbid side, more (coffins and wakes) than country and western. I am not sure of the artist. It is about a romance between an itinerant worker(possibly a truck driver) and a girl who works in a family-owned dress shop. the romance proceeds very smoothly, but is abruptly Kayoed by the death of the Mother, who owns the shop. one guesses the Girl was underage if she could not marry on her own consent. circa l970. up till the last verse, it is very hopeful and almost happy-go-lucky then the doom bolt falls, I don;t like these sick C&W songs. At least Confederate Money has a collector value-you knwo the old story- yes, we have all the money here-but, ALL OF THE MONEY WAS CONFEDERATE! pART OF THE LANGUAGE.
