There was a "Wally Walrus" in the 1940s to the late 1950s and "Chumley" character in the "Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales" cartoons in the 1960s .
The name of the cartoon is "The Selfish Giant" taken from the book originally by Oscar Wilde. I remember the cartoon vividly. The only place I found it recently was in oue public libary. Cheers!
