It has been confirmed that this will mark the end of the Book 3: Fire series and Avatar: The Last Airbender when Aang finally faces the Firelord in the final chapters of The Southern Raiders (Chp. 16), The Ember Island Players (Chp. 17), and the Avatar Finale Episodes Part 1, 2, 3, & 4 (Chapters 18-21). I believe it has been told that the finale episodes will be a 2-hour edition, rather than a separation of the usual 30 min. episodes. After these chapters, it has been heard that the creators of Avatar will not continue the story with Aang and have hinted that Appa, Momo, and Aang are the last airbenders that will ever live. However, it is heard that they mentioned about making new series and adventures conintuing in the Avatar world with all new characters. We'll have to wait and see what happens :) its true it is said on November 2011 a spin off series will air
