As amazing as it seems, Gacy's life behind bars was much better than most inmates could only dream about. He was allowed certain perks because he was so well-known. In fact he made friends with a high school student when he never should have had any access to young males.
Jason Moss was working on a project about serial killers and of course Gacy was more than happy to help him out. Jason Moss got himself into a bad situation and for months Gacy called the Moss home and tried to manipulate Jason and wanted to meet his younger brother.
Several years later Moss wrote a book about his experience with Gacy, named "The Last Victim". And he really was. He thought he had control of the situation and he could have ended up a statistic. Actually he did. On October 3, 2006 Jason Moss committed suicide. There is much speculation as to if the Gacy thing might have been part of the problem. Only Jason Moss knew. Not long after Moss broke communication with Gacy, John W. had a date with the executioner. Interesting Fact:Gacy spent much of his time on death row painting, clowns were a favorite subject (big surprise). The actor Johnny Depp somehow ended up with a Gacy painting. He was under the impression that the money would go to victims family members. When he found out otherwise he got rid of the painting and didn't look back. Good for him.
I think the Oscar may be in the John Wayne Museum with other memorabilia of his long career and life.
Because He is married in real life?!?!?!
Yes, the character Pilar in the film "Comancheros" was named after Pilar Wayne, who was John Wayne's wife at the time. The film, released in 1961, features Wayne in the lead role, and his personal life influenced some aspects of the production. This connection adds a layer of significance to the character in the context of Wayne's life and career.
John Wayne's last horse was named "Dollar." The horse was a palomino and became a significant part of Wayne's life, often accompanying him on film sets and during personal time. After Wayne's passing in 1979, Dollar was given to his son, Ethan Wayne.

In real life no. In movies everything from marines to airmen to in one case an Admiral in (In Harm"s Way) Wayne always stood out as (JOHN WAYNE) and was light-years removed from what has become known as Method acting. He never was in the armed forces in real life, only on screen.
His dad went to one part of a prison that was meant for extremely poor people, so it really isn't a "prison." His life at the prison was probably better than life outside the prison because in the prison, he could actually eat food, and have the basic needs.

After his death his oldest son Michael took over all things Wayne. Until his death in 2003 he controlled all Wayne interests and the money they made. If you stop and think, John Wayne is one of the few major stars that never had a movie made of his life. Michael Wayne declined to any and all movie deals.
I have read numerous books on the life of John Wayne. I have read quotes of his concerning family members including his only sibling Robert. I find it very strange that a sister suddenly surfaces after all this time. Reguardless of what was 'supposed' to be in Wayne's father's obituary it's hard to believe Wayne would never have mentioned another sibling.
John Wayne's favorite color was reportedly blue. He often wore blue clothing and decorated his home with blue accents. This color choice reflected his personal style and preferences throughout his life and career.
In this film, John Wayne played the character of Jacob McCandles. That character's three sons were played by Patrick Wayne (the Duke's real son), Christopher Mitchum (son of star Robert), and pop star Bobby Vinton(!?!).
