What was Marilyn Monroe's child hood like?

Her name wasn't Marilyn Monroe for starters, so technecally Marilyn Monroe never had a child hood. Norma Jean Baker (future Marilyn Monroe) had a very sad, dysfunctional childhood. Her mother was in a mental institute and she was bounced around in orphanges, she had several people interested in adopting her but her "aunt" (Marilyn's/Norma Jeans mother best friend aka marilyn's current guardian) never signed the papers to pass guardianship. She had no normal family background, and it is understood , little if any religious background, as far as known she never attended church, though it was claimed she was Baptized by (Hollywood evanglist) Aimee Semple Mcpherson, by outsiders, Mcpherson"s faith operations were all too often styled ( Carnival religion) and I do noit mean church-operated carnivals!

Marilyn's mother Gladys Baker suffered from mental health problems and could not take care of her, thus she lived with foster parents for most of her childhood (she did live in Gladys for a small stint before Gladys was sent to a mental asylum having had a breakdown).
