Mr.Spock's last name is Spock. His full name is S'chn T'gai Spock Cha' Sarek... :) its a mouth-full... and unpronouncable.... well, Spock is his last name... :P

S'chn T'gai is not TOS canon. It was introduced in Hambly's book "Ishmael". In TOS, Spock says that his First name is "unpronounceable" which refers to whatever Roddenberry could have one day made up, not necessarily Hambly's version.

After seeing the first issue of SPOCKANALIA (the first ST fanzine,

which was published while ST was still on the air) Dorothy Fontana,

ST story editor, writer, and developer of a lot of Spock's

backstory, wrote a LoC to the zine's editors. In this letter, which

was published in the second issue of the zine (April 1968) she

announced the family name as Xtmprsqzntwlfb.

The name never made it into the series or films, but some fans

considered Dorothy to be sufficiently a canonical source to use the

name she created as Spock's last name in the fiction they wrote.

To further clarify, from Dorothy's LoC: "The family name is unprounceable

and can only be rendered in Earth alphabet as a long series of consonants. .

. Of course, the formal Vulcan language is not written with English

letters. As in Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and so on, the phonetic rendering

according to pronunciation has nothing to do with the written language."

Spock's full name is unpronounceable by humans.

In most Asian countries the first name given is the FAMILY name. The second name is the GIVEN name. In China for example, John Smith would be written Smith John. In America, Mao Zedong would be Zedong (given name) Mao (family name).

In books over the years the "unpronouncable" full name of his Star Trek character is S'chn-T' Gaii Spock, son of S'chn-T' Gaii Sarek (of Skon and Solkar) of Vulcan. It says so in a few books of Star Trek and is confirmable on the internet from imdb.com and a few other websites.

It was never specifically stated that "Spock" was his last name. In one episode, it was revealed that he had "another name" but it was also stated that it was unpronounceable by humans. Vulcans generally have only one name (like Surak or Sarek or Spock), yet somehow no two Vulcans have ever had the same name.

"Spock" is actually the personal name of the character. His Vulcan family name is what is actually never revealed, as it is described as having successfully defied all human efforts either to pronounce it using, say, English-language phonemes or to typeset it using, say, the characters of the Roman alphabet.

Spock is his last name, that's why he's called Mr. Spock. The first name of Spock, while not considered canon was S'chn T'gai in the novel "Ishmael".
