Harry and Remus were not related, but Remus was Harry's Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher in his thrid year. Harry's Dad, James Potter, was best friends during their time at Hogwarts, along with Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. Together, they created the Marauders Map (the map of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade that Harry obtains in his third year).
In the seventh book, Remus names Harry Godfather to his and Tonks' baby, Teddy. Both Remus and Tonks are later killed in the Battle of Hogwarts.

∙ 9y agoRomulus and Remus Lupin are the same person (Romulus was the code name Remus used during the war). Harry isn't actually related to him, but James, Harry's father, was Remus' best friend.
