In the 1971 version, "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory", Grandpa Joe is played by Jack Albertson. In Tim Burton's "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory", he is played by David Kelly. Gregory Peck was cast for the role but he died before filming had begun.

In the 2005 adaptation, Grandpa Joe was played by David Kelly :)
