According to the star, one of his most challenging roles was John Wilmont, Second Earl of Rochester in The Libertine. I find it hard to believe that Depp did not win an oscar for this role. Depp made the Earl repulsive yet at times endearing, cruelly honest and at times just cruel. But as John Wilmont Depp was always facinating to watch.

∙ 11y agoMr. Depp has certainly had his ups and downs. His parents were divorced when he was young. He moved from home when he was still a teenager and had to fend for himself. His career in music didn't pan out and he was habitually short of money until his acting really took off. He has had failed relationships, movies that flopped, and problems with drugs and alcohol.
