Whats a good Pokemon team on Pokemon pearl?

A good team may have different types! I would choose a Luxray that is level 55 or more, a Staraptor that is 55 or more, a Lucario that is 55 or more, a Gastrodonthat's is 55 or more, a Roserade that has 55 or more ,AND a Rapidash that has 55 or more! But, I would replace a Rapidash if i have a Infernape. I also would replace the Gastrodon with my Palkia.

Hmm..... There is no accurate answer for this question. Because there is no best team on Pokemon, you just need to consider the pros and cons of the Pokemons to create a good team. Well, my team goes like this.

(No trading, supportive moves or TMs)

Torterra - Earthquake / Leaf Storm / Crunch / Cut ( needed to teach someone this )

Mothim - Silver Wind / Psychic / Air Slash / Bug Buzz

Staraptor - Brave Bird / Close Combat / Fly / Aerial Ace

Gyrados - Hydro Pump / Ice Fang / Surf / Waterfall ( I didn't teach it Hyper Beam because I don't like moves that need resting )

Raichu - Thunder / Strength / Slam / Discharge

Lucario - Close Combat / Dragon Pulse / Rock Climb / Rock Smash ( need to teach someone this )

A good team I think for pearl would beTorterra, Palkia, Starraptor, Floatzel, Rapidash, and Mismagius. Because that will give you a variety of different types which will give you certain strengths and weaknesses in different battles. So I think that would be your best team. How to get this team:

Torterra: starter Pokemon

Palkia: at the spear pillar

Starraptor: what I did is I captured a level 24 starly in the great marsh and trained it to evolve twice until it became a starraptor

Floatzel: you can get floatzel on route 222, which is the route that will take you to sunyshore city

Rapidash: get a ponyta on route 210 and evolve it

Mismagius: ONLY AT NIGHT, go to the lost tower near solaceon town, and go to the top floor to catch a misdreaveus around level 20 or level 21

a good lineup is one that is really good and is not that effective and powerful. If i were you i would pick Infernape because it can kill torteraa with fire attcks an can beat empoleon with its fighting moves and is an davantage in the elite four and is with gym battles. Another Pokemon is a must be is garchomp because its is dragon and is really powerful, good attacks, and is just really good. that's it.

You need to balance out your team and if possible try and get a Pokemon which knows a healing move, a Pokemon capable of taking lots of damage and a few which can cause major damage. Try and trade with your friends to get the best line-up; this is mine:

H - Torterra - Leaf Storm, Earthquake, Cut, Synthesis

T - Empoleon - Surf, Waterfall, Drill Peck, Ice Beam

D - Infernape Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Flamethrower, Rock Smash

D - Staraptor Fly, Defog, Brave Bird, Close Combat

D - Lucario Aura Sphere, ExtremeSpeed, Rock Climb, Force Palm

D - Toxicroak Sludge Bomb, Poison Jab, Strength, Revenge

(H=Healer, T=Tank aka Damage Taker D=Damage)

Try and balance out your Pokemon's moves with the HM's because unfortunately they are necessary. This team was made without Legendaries and is capable of defeating the Elite Four!
